Description

The chemical composition of isobutanol is a 4-carbon alcohol that has a hydroxy functional group. Oxygen in the alcohol group in isobutanol provides an active site for many chemical reactions. This organic compound is naturally present as a colorless, odorless liquid and is a flammable liquid. The most important use of this liquid is as an organic solvent. Isobutanol is an isomer with other butanol compounds; Isobutanol isomers include n-butanol, 2-butanol and tert-butanol. All isomers of this compound are of great chemical importance. A large share of organic solvents in various industries are covered using these isomers.

Isobutanol is an organic compound with a molecular structure of C4H10O. In the Iupac naming system, isobo-tanol is introduced as 2-methyl propane-1-ol. This organic compound is a factor in alcoholic compounds and has many applications in the chemical, paint, resin and solvent industries.
