(Diammonium phosphate), also known as DAP for short, has white crystals with a density of 1.619. The above product has the most use as phosphorus chemical fertilizer in the world and is found in various types of liquid, granular and edible.
DAP production process
To produce this material, a two-stage reactor system is required to prevent ammonia wastage.
The granulation process is completed by performing a reaction inside the rotating tankers.
It should be noted that ammonium phosphate is usually produced by the neutralization of phosphoric acid with ammonia in which the pH (acidity / alkalinity) control determines which ammonium phosphate (mono or diamonium) is formed.
The raw materials required to produce one ton of DAP fertilizer include approximately 1.5 to 2 tonnes of phosphate rock, 0.4 tonne of sulfur (S) for rock dissolution, and 0.2 tonnes of ammonia.
Changes in the supply or price of any of these quantities of inputs will affect the price and availability of the product.
